Lyrics

• Enter your lyrics one line at a time.
• Press Enter after each lyric line.
• The app creates a dedicated chord line above each lyric line.
• There is deliberately space before the first lyric word so chords can be placed there.

Placing chords

• Use the chord bank on the right-hand side.
• The chord bank stays visible while you work on the lyrics.
• Tap a chord to select it. The button lights up.
• Then tap anywhere on the chord line to place it.
• You can also drag and drop a chord onto the exact position you want.
• Chords are stored using their precise horizontal position rather than snapping to the start of a lyric line.
• This means you can position a chord over the exact syllable being sung.

Moving chords

• Drag an unlocked chord left or right.
• The chord remains at the position where you release it.
• It does not automatically snap back to the start of the line.
• Triple-click/tap a chord to lock it.
• Triple-click/tap the locked chord again to unlock it.

Chord variations

• Hold a chord for 4 seconds.
• A variation menu will appear with options such as C7, C9, Cmaj7, Csus2 and Csus4.
• The 4-second delay gives you enough time to drag a chord without accidentally opening the variation menu.

Chord progression

• Each progression chord has a beat count.
• Use + to add beats.
• Use − to remove beats.
• The count will not go below 1 beat.

Capo

• Select the capo fret in Song Information.
• The main chord shown is the chord you physically play.
• The smaller chord in brackets above it is the actual sounding/uncapo chord.
• For example, Capo 3 + E shape produces a sounding G.
• Capo 0 disables the secondary chord display.

Saving

• The app automatically saves your work locally as you make changes.
• Use Save / Update Song for a deliberate save.
• Use Previous Songs to retrieve saved songs.
• Use Save & Start New Song when beginning another song.
• Saved songs are stored on the device/browser. Clearing browser data can remove them.

Tablet / Mobile

• The app is designed primarily for tablet use.
• On a phone, landscape mode is recommended when adding chords.
• The chord bank remains on screen beside the lyrics while working.

Recording

• You can record using your device microphone.
• You can also select an existing audio file.
• Microphone permission may be required.
